As a company, we are committed to continuously finding ways to enhance your online experience. We are excited to introduce several updates to our website in these ongoing efforts. Real-Time Bid Amount Refresh
One of the updates we have implemented is the real-time refresh of auction lot cards with the current bid amount. This means no matter where you are on our website—whether on a landing page, search results page, or any other section—the current bid amount will always be displayed accurately. This enhancement eliminates the need to manually refresh the page to see the latest bid, ensuring bidders have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips.
Text Message Notifications When Outbid
We are also very excited to announce the official launch of SMS/Text and WhatsApp messaging options for outbid notifications. Users in the United States, Canada, and China, opt in to receive messages by text, have the choice between SMS/Text messaging and WhatsApp, while users in other countries will have only WhatsApp. When the "Notify if outbid" checkbox is activated on an asset details page, buyers will receive an email notification. If buyers have opted in for SMS/Text and WhatsApp messaging, notifications will also be sent to their mobile devices.
Mobile Product Card Update
Continued efforts to enhance the mobile platform for our expanding audience have led to significant updates within the mobile list view. The product card will now feature an auction countdown timer and the auction end date. This enhancement is designed to make it easier for users to participate more effectively.
‘Next Bid Meets Reserve’ Label
We’ve got even more updates. Another one to introduce is a new label within our product cards: ‘Next Bid Meets Reserve’. This label will be prominently displayed for assets that are one bid increment away from meeting the reserve price. The reserve price is the minimum amount agreed upon by the seller, and once this threshold is met, the asset is guaranteed to be sold.
The ‘Next Bid Meets Reserve’ label will appear throughout the site, including search results pages, landing pages, and My Account sections. Additionally, it will be visible within the bid box on the asset details page.
Rotating Banners
The newly launched Rotating Banner on AllSurplus and GovDeals has been added to automatically rotate when viewing our homepage. Be on the lookout for important auction event announcements, key category promotions, and more so you don’t miss a thing!
New and Updated Categories
We’ve added several new categories and moved some others around to help you find the items you are looking for more easily. Our Transporation, Heavy Equipment and Real Estate segments have been expanded to include several new categories and category name changes. Our Industrial category was split up, with some of its categories now listed under our brand-new segment Machinery Equipment. Click the category name below for a full list of category updates.
